Payment Options

If you have Cigna PPO; Blue Cross/Blue Shield or Anthem, you may be covered for multiple visits. To explore this option, contact The Lactation Network who will do the billing for you. If you are eligible, you will be covered for 6 visits which can occur anytime throughout your breastfeeding journey.

For other insurances, payment is due at the time of service. You will be given a bill that you can submit for possible reimbursement. Insurance companies are supposed to cover Lactation Consultant services (with an IBCLC) according to the Affordable Care Act. You can call your insurance carrier to request pre-authorization. If they tell you I am not in network, you can request a "gap exception" or an expedited "in for out request”.

No charge for phone calls.
